Three Pieces of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, Buffalo, NY origin, mid 19th century, a two-gallon cylindrical jar with abstract foliate motif, stamped "P. MUGLER & CO. / BUFFALO, N Y," a two-gallon ovoid jug with floral blossom decoration, stamped "G. HEISER. / BUFFALO N Y," and a five-gallon ovoid churn with stylized floral motif, stamped "G. HEISTER. / BUFFALO. N Y." Jar with significant restoration to rim and reverse, as well as the following unrestored flaws: two small chips to one handle, a minor chip to opposite handle, a 2" surface line at midsection on reverse, nicks and wear to interior of rim, two minor in-the-firing chips to underside at bottom edge, a minor in-the-firing surface fissure on underside, a spot of wear to interior base, and staining. Jug with spout chips and a crack across underside forming a long horizontal crack at base. Churn with significant cracks to underside and base area, a thin 2 1/2" crack from rim, rim chips, and staining. H (of jar) 11".
