Three Glazed Redware Articles, PA origin, late 18th and/or 19th century, an ovoid jar with lead-and-manganese glaze and distinctive crimped handles related to the work of Christian Klinker, Bucks County, PA, late 18th or early 19th century; a small-sized, manganese-decorated pitcher with applied spout and early tin make-do handle, 19th century; and an ovoid pitcher with manganese decoration, second half 19th century. Provenance: The Estate of Susan H. Myers, author of Handcraft to Industry and former Smithsonian Curator of Ceramics and Glass. Jar with base chips and wear to handles and rim. Small pitcher with two rim chips, some minor rim and spout wear, and separation at the lower terminal of the tin handle. Larger pitcher with wear to rim, spout, and handle, one spout chip, two small base chips, and a short line on underside, continuing a short distance up base.
