Two Glazed Redware Jars, Northeastern U.S. origin, probably NY State, circa 1840, both of cylindrical form with tapered shoulders, the larger with heavy manganese sponging and clear lead glaze over a mottled green-and-orange ground, the smaller with lead glaze over a mottled green-and-orange ground. Larger jar with a long Y-shaped line extending 1" onto base, base chips, and small chips and wear to rim. Smaller jar with wear to rim and shoulder. H (of taller) 8 3/4".
