Large Glazed Redware Jug with Elaborate "Make-Do" Handles, New England origin, probably NH, second quarter 19th century, cylindrical jug with tooled shoulder and tapered spout molding, its lead-glazed surface featuring mottled green coloration to orange spotting and red crawling. Unusually elaborate 19th century "make-do" copper handles with scrolled ends at shoulder and base. A 1 1/4" loss to reverse end of spout. Minor spout nicks. Water glass staining to surface. Two minor in-the-firing iron pings to surface. H (to top of handle) 13".
