Slip-Decorated Redware Dish, possibly Hervey Brooks, Goshen, CT, mid 19th century, with flared sides and semi-rounded rim, the lead-glazed interior decorated with wavy, circular trails of yellow slip over a brownish ground. The color and slip decoration of this dish are related to the work of well-documented Connecticut potter, Hervey Brooks, including a bowl in the Litchfield Historical Society, which bears the inscription, "H B / 1858." Excellent condition with minor wear to interior. Diam. 8 7/8".
