Rare Pair of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Pitchers, New Ulm, MN origin, circa 1890, both of ornately-molded form, decorated on each side with a molded bust of a woman, possibly representing Jenny Lind, surrounded by an impressed heart border including four molded roses. Impressed heart decoration to handles and rims of each. Rose-form thumbrests. Cobalt highlights throughout. One with a 1 1/2" reglued section to spout, a 1 1/4" hairline to spout, a 1 1/4" x 7/8" rim chip on reverse, two smaller rim chips, and a Y-shaped hairline to underside. The other with significant loss to spout. H (of each) 6 3/8".
