Two Pieces of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, Northeastern U.S. origin, second half 19th century, a two-gallon churn with large leaf or feather decoration, stamped "SEYMOUR & BOSWORTH / HARTFORD, CT.," circa 1880-1890, paired with three-gallon jar, with slip-trailed stylized plant motif, MA origin, third quarter 19th century. Churn with surface crazing, some fry to cobalt, and wear to inner rim for lid. Jar with significant restoration to one handle, a small glazed-over surface line at base, exfoliation to underside, minor chips and wear to interior of rim, and some scattered small flake to surface.
