BELL / Waynesboro, Pa.;" a glazed redware flowerpot, stamped on underside "JOHN W. BELL / Waynesboro, Pa;" a multi-glazed redware cream pitcher, attributed to S. Bell & Sons, Strasburg, VA; and a one-gallon stoneware jar with manganese swag decoration, stamped "S. BELL & SON. / STRASBURG." Provenance: Property deaccessioned by the Miller House Museum, Hagerstown, MD. Upton Bell flowerpot with majority of saucer missing, along with most of maker's mark on underside, as well as chips and wear to rim. John W. Bell flowerpot with significant loss to saucer as well as a chip and wear to rim. Pitcher with significant flaking and soiling to body, as well as wear to rim. Jar with a few rim chips, two small base nicks, a 1 1/2" piece of adhered clay on underside, and a small spot of old white paint to shoulder. H (of pitcher) 6 1/4".
