Quart-Sized Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1870, ovoid pitcher with tooled collar and footed base, decorated with two vertically-brushed tulips on the front and large foliate devices on the sides of the collar. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Restoration to front between the tulips (not affecting the decoration), which connects to a restored crack on underside. Additional tight lines flanking restoration on front. A shallow in-the-firing chip to side of spout. A small base chip and minor base nicks. H 7 1/4".
