Three Pieces of Stoneware, Stamped "JOHN BELL / WAYNESBORO'," PA origin, circa 1850-1880, a small-sized jug with celadon-colored alkaline glaze; a larger salt-glazed jug; and a cylindrical salt-glazed jar. All impressed with John Bell maker's marks. Provenance: Property deaccessioned by the Miller House Museum, Hagerstown, MD. Smaller jug with some tight crazing to shoulder area, probably in-the-firing, a small spout chip, and minor spout wear. Larger jug in excellent, essentially as-made condition. Jar with thin T-shaped crack on underside, forming a large Y-shaped crack on front. H (of smaller jug) 7 3/4".
