Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Canning Jar, Stamped "JOHN BELL," Waynesboro, PA origin, circa 1840-1880, cylindrical jar with rounded shoulder and "wax sealer" rim, the surface covered in a celadon glaze with unusual green cast. Provenance: Property deaccessioned by the Miller House Museum, Hagerstown, MD. Very nice condition with a tight T-shaped line to side of rim, descending 1 1/4" down to shoulder. H 7 1/2".
