Fine Half-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Elaborate Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Henry Harrison Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1850, thin-walled, ovoid pitcher with footed base and tooled collar, decorated on the front with a split-stemmed flowering plant including long, sinuous stems capped by flower blossoms on each side of the pitcher. Swag decoration to sides of collar and below spout. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. A 1 3/4" flake to foot, probably in the firing. Otherwise excellent condition. H 9".
