Stoneware King Gambrinus Pitcher with Incised Decoration, attributed to the Wingender Pottery, Haddonfield, NJ, late 19th century, highly-ovoid pitcher with footed base and narrow collar, decorated with a molded and applied design of a King Gambrinus with raised stein atop a keg, surrounded by a scalloped, incised border and series of circles. Foliate decoration to sides of pitcher. Cobalt highlights to incising. Cobalt banding to collar, base, and along the edges of the handle. Includes original pewter lid. A thin 2 3/4" crack from rim on reverse. A tiny nick to exterior of spout. Light wear to King Gambrinus design. Numbers in red crayon written on underside. Lid somewhat loose. H (excluding lid) 12".
