Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1840, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and squared rim, decorated around the body with four vertically-brushed tulip motifs. A crack across underside, continuing 7" up body of jar. A 1 1/2" rim chip. Other smaller, shallow rim chips. H 12 1/4".
