Two-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1885, ovoid pitcher with footed base and semi-rounded rim, decorated with a swag and hanging flower motif descending from the collar and swags below the rim and spout. Brushed cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Excellent condition with a 2" hairline from rim on side of collar and a tight in-the-firing surface fissure to underside, not visible on interior. H 13 7/8".
