Two-Gallon Stoneware Advertising Jug with Ornamental Cobalt "2" Decoration, Stamped "A.B. WHEELER & CO. / No. 69 BROAD STREET, / BOSTON, MASS.," attributed to West Troy Pottery, West Troy, NY, circa 1875, cylindrical jug with squared spout, decorated with a slip-trailed design of script number "2," embellished with swags, spots, and striped details. Some staining to surface, primarily to left side of jug. A tiny glazed-over spout chip. Cork in top of jug. H 14".
