Three Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Churns, attributed to Joe "Jug" Johnson, Laurens, SC, early 20th century, two four-gallon alkaline-glazed examples with cobalt line decoration, each impressed "4," together with a two-gallon alkaline-glazed example with impressed "2." Provenance: A South Carolina private collection. One four-gallon churn with chips to one handle and wear to interior. Other four-gallon churn in excellent condition. Two-gallon churn with a chip to each handle, in otherwise excellent condition. H (of tallest) 16 1/2".
