Three Slip-Decorated Redware Plates, American, 19th century, one with elaborate copper and dark-brown manganese slip decoration, Dryville, Berks County, PA origin; another with groups of yellow-slip stripes and spots, PA origin; and a third with three groups of wavy trails, PA or Northeastern U.S. origin. Dryville plate with significant exfoliation to interior, flakes and cracking to reverser, and small chips and wear to rim. Stripe-and-spot-decorated plate with wear to interior and small rim chips. Largest with rim chips, minor wear to interior, and a thin sliver of adhered in-the-firing clay to reverse. Diam. (of Dryville plate) 8".
