Remainder of pig incised with a cobalt-highlighted map of the Midwestern United States, including the following landmarks: St Louis the future Great / miss R / chester / CT / C & A / O & m / Springfield, ICRR, Bloomington, m & O, Carbondale, Cairo, Mound City, Duquoin, Tamaroa, Centralia, Odin, CRICRR, Champagne, Kankakee, Pullman, Vincenes, C & V RR, Tunnel Hill, Anna, Cincnnati the Pork Packing City, and Chicago The Corn City. This example features outstanding color, with a high-gloss salt glaze over bright cobalt slip, as well as particularly large script.
