Five Rockingham Hunter Pitchers, attributed to E. & W. Bennett, Baltimore, MD, mid 19th century, three with hound handles and two with twig handles, all depicting a relief scene of a kneeling hunter with gun and dog facing pheasants in a tree. One pitcher with hunter and pheasants on opposite sides than the remaining four. Another with original holes for lid. Surfaces covered in various mottled amber glazes over a cream-colored ground. Larger twig-handled pitcher in excellent condition. Middle-sized hound-handled pitcher with surface lines to underside, not visible on interior, and a minor nick to head of dog on side of pitcher. Smaller twig-handled pitcher with a small chip to handle and light surface wear. Smallest hound-handled pitcher with a restored rim chip, a short crack from rim, and minor surface wear. Largest with a long crack from rim descending from a small rim chip and a small worn spot to top of hound handle. H (of tallest) 9 7/8".
