Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jars, Western PA origin, circa 1875, a one-gallon ovoid jar with stenciled rose and flowers motif, stenciled "A. CONRAD. / NEW / GENEVA / PA;" paired with two-gallon jar with large brushed tulip decoration over a slip-coated ground, Beaver, PA origin. Provenance: From a fifty-year collection. Conrad jar with a base chip and an in-the-firing piece of adhered clay on left side. Beaver jar with wear to midsection, staining to surface, and chips and wear to interior of rim.
