Four Pottery Articles, American, 19th century, a semi-ovoid redware jar with oatmeal-colored, lead-based glaze and colorful orange crawling throughout, probably Western New York State origin; a cylindrical redware jar with yellowish lead-based glaze, probably Western New York State origin; an ovoid redware jug with lead-and-manganese glaze; a small salt-glazed ovoid jug. Semi-ovoid redware jar with a 1" in-the-firing ping at base, a small ping to opposite side, and an iron ping to interior of rim. Cylindrical redware jar with wear to top of rim and a short line from rim. Redware jug with heavy chipping to base, sporadic flakes to surface, minor chips to interior of spout, and wear to body and handle. Stoneware jug in excellent condition with a minor base chip and in-the-firing crazing to body. H (of stoneware jug) 5 3/4" ; H (of semi-ovoid redware jar) 8 3/4".
