Two Pieces of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, Western PA origin, circa 1875, a large-sized canning jar with "wax sealer" rim, decorated with horizontal freehand stripes, paired with a one-and-a-half-gallon crock with freehand swags, stripes, and a cobalt-script "1 1/2" with flourishes. Provenance: From a fifty-year collection. Canning jar with light surface wear. Crock with light surface wear, minor wear to interior of rim, and a discolored spot to front.
