Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Bottles, Northeastern U.S. origin, second half 19th century, both with heavy cobalt highlights to neck and spout, one impressed "PENTUCKET ALE / BOTTLE NOT SOLD," the other impressed "FAIRBANKS & BEARD." Pentucket Ale bottle with small drilled hole at base, a contact mark to base of neck, and minor wear to base of neck. Fairbanks & Beard bottle with two chips to underside at edge, a chip to bottom edge of spout, and wear along base of neck. H (of taller) 10 1/2".
