Two Stoneware Canning Jars, Western PA origin, circa 1875, both of tapered form with semi-rounded "wax sealer" rim, decorated with freehand stripes, diagonal floral stenciling, and the diagonal maker's stenciling, "Jas. Hamilton & Co. / Greensboro. Pa;" paired with a larger canning jar with stenciled floral motif. James Hamilton canning jar in excellent condition with water glass residue to top and interior. Rose-stenciled jar in excellent condition with a small chip to interior of rim. H (of rose-stenciled jar) 9 3/4".
