Half-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1885, ovoid pitcher with footed base and tooled collar, decorated with a brushed tulip emanating from a stylized ground. Brushed swags to spout and collar. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Provenance: A fresh-to-the-market example, consigned by a Crolius descendant. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 9".
