Two Pieces of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, Northeastern U.S. origin, third quarter 19th century, a one-and-a-half-gallon jar with slip-trailed pheasant-on-stump decoration, stamped "J. & E. NORTON / BENNINGTON VT," circa 1855, paired with a one-gallon jug with slip-trailed date, "1875," stamped "WEST TROY, / POTTERY." Norton jar with a poorly-restored section to rear end area of bird, a few small chips to interior of rim, numerous tiny chips to inner rim for lid, and a small U-shaped surface line to left side of jar's front. West Troy jug with heavy salting to surface, and two small in-the-firing contact marks to shoulder,
