Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Pitcher with Applied Stag and Incised Foliate Motifs, attributed to the Wingender Pottery, Haddonfield, NJ, late 19th century, ovoid pitcher with footed base, narrow collar, and semi-rounded collar molding, the front decorated with a molded and applied design of a reclining stag, grooming itself between a bush and a stump, flanked on each side by incised foliate motifs. Cobalt highlights throughout. Includes original pewter lid with floral finial. Excellent condition with some surface crazing to underside, including a very short line extending onto base on reverse. Some dents to lid and lid's finial is bent. H 13".
