Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, attributed to William Capron, Albany, NY, circa 1800-1805, ovoid jar with heavily-tooled shoulder and narrow, slightly-flared mouth, decorated around the shoulder with four brushed cobalt daubs. Two in-the-firing chips to top of rim, measuring 2" and 1 1/2". A 2" in-the-firing contact mark to side of jar, which includes a small piece of adhered clay.
