One-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Stenciled Cobalt Decoration, attributed to A.P. Donaghho, Parkersburg, WV, circa 1875, ovoid pitcher with flared collar and angled rim, the front decorated with a stenciled band of geometric designs. Collar decorated on each side with stylized stenciled foliate motif. Spout decorated with freehand stripes. Cobalt highlight to upper handle terminal. A large, jagged inverted-J-shaped crack on right side of pitcher's body, extending onto underside, where it forms a Y. A small area of surface wear to right side of pitcher. Some in-the-firing iron residue to left side base of pitcher.
