Extremely Rare Stoneware Mug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Jacob Greenland or E.B. Hyssong, Cassville, PA, circa 1855, cylindrical mug with footed base and delicate handle, the salt-glazed surface dipped in a light slip and decorated with an undulating vine bearing four flowers and graduated leaves. Albany-slip-glazed interior. Exceptional form. The first Huntingdon County, PA mug that we have seen. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with a faint line through bottom. H 3 5/8".
