Two-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Flying Bird Decoration, attributed to Barnabas Edmands, Charlestown, MA, circa 1845, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, flattened rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed design of a bird with carved eye detail, flying towards a flower blossom. A 5" inverted Y-shaped line from rim on front. Additional hairlines to left side, reverse, and underside of crock. Some staining.
