Rare Rockingham Chinoiserie Teapot, Marked "PATd / MAY 26 / 1874", Phoenix Pottery, Kaolin, and Fire Brick Company, Phoenixville, PA, circa 1874, molded teapot with relief decoration of an Asian man presenting a cup and plate to a seated woman. Surface covered in a mottled amber-colored glaze with brown-glazed highlight to spout. Includes original domed lid. Teapot in very nice condition with a few short lines to underside and minor handle wear. Lid with heavy restoration around rim and a small chip to restoration. H (including lid) 8 1/4".
