Extremely Rare Stoneware Chamberpot with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Henry Remmey, Sr., Baltimore, MD, circa 1812-1829, ovoid form with footed base and flattened rim, decorated with a vivid cobalt design of four flowers conjoined by a wavy stem. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. The decoration on this chamberpot matches that seen on other forms bearing an "H. REMMEY / BALTIMORE" maker's mark. Restoration. A 1 1/4" faint hairline from rim. A 1 3/8" pre-firing flake to rim, which was brushed over with cobalt. H 5 3/8" ; Diameter 7 1/4".
