Extremely Rare One-Quart Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "H. MYERS," Henry Remmey and Henry Remmey Jr. at Henry Myers's Baltimore Stoneware Manufactory, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1825, small-sized, ovoid pitcher with footed base and tooled collar, decorated around the body with a large brushed stem bearing leaves and four clovers. Vertical cobalt dash decoration to collar. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Impressed with light "H. MYERS" maker's mark to body below spout. Exceptional size, strong decoration, and brilliant color. One of the smallest signed Baltimore stoneware pitchers known. Restoration to rim and spout. Hairlines to underside, one of which continues onto reverse of pitcher, where it forms a thin top-to-bottom crack with small Y at top. This crack is colored along the base area of the pitcher on reverse as well as at the collar. H 7".
