Rare Half-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Double-Sided Martinsburg, WV Advertising, Palatine, WV origin, circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and flattened rim, featuring the stenciled cobalt advertising on the front and reverse, "FRAZER & BISHOP / DEALER / IN / GENERAL / MERCHANDISE / MARTINSBURG / W VA". Unusual advertising made exceptionally rare with its two-sided application. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with some faintness to stenciling on both sides along left edge. H 8".
