Two Pieces of Salt-Glazed Stoneware, American and German, 17th and 19th centuries, a two-gallon jar with underscored cobalt "2", stamped "J. HART & SON / SHERBURNE.", NY State origin; paired with a four-liter ovoid jug, impressed "4", German origin, 17th century. Jar with surface line across underside, continuing a short distance onto base, not visible on interior, some staining, and a small rim chip. Thin cracks and spider lines throughout jug.
