Two Pieces of Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware, Southern U.S. origin, second half 19th century, a two-gallon ovoid jug, Edgefield, SC origin, probably B.F. Landrum, Horse Creek Valley; paired with a five-gallon open-handled jar with greenish alkaline glaze and three incised "5's", Crawford County, GA origin. Jug with restored spout, a restored 1" hole on side, a minor chip to underside at edge, and some minor exfoliation to underside. Jar with chips and wear to rim, an embedded stone on side, and two short in-the-firing lines to underside at edge, not visible on interior.
