Four Pieces of New Jersey Pottery, 19th century, a rare spatterware sugar bowl, stamped on underside "AMERICAN / POTTERY, Co / JERSEY, CITY, N.J."; a Rockingham spittoon with relief angel and cupid motif, lightly incised "H/R 44" on underside, including a museum label on underside, reading "Connor Loan"; a one-and-a-half-gallon stoneware jar with cobalt floral decoration; and a small eagle-spouted china pitcher, commemorating the Spanish-American war, with images of the Flagship Olympia, Admiral Dewey, and crossed flags, marked "MADE BY / COOK POTTERY CO / JULY PATENTED 1899 / TRENTON, N.J.". American Pottery Company sugar bowl lacking lid, with tight, stained cracks, a section of one handle reglued, and a rim chip. Spittoon in excellent condition. Stoneware jar in excellent condition with a smooth, in-the-firing chip to bottom edge. Cook Pottery pitcher in excellent condition. H (of sugar bowl) 5 1/4".
