Six Rare Pieces of New Jersey Yellowware, 19th century, two small molds with grape motifs, stamped "W. CORY / TRENTON / N J"; two nappies, stamped "AMERICAN POTTERY, Co / JERSEY, CITY, N.J."; a rectangular dish, stamped "AMERICAN POTTERY, Co / JERSEY CITY, N.J."; and a rectangular dish, stamped "A. CADMUS / CONGRESS POTTERY. / SOUTH AMBOY / N.J.". All with some amount of staining. Smaller mold with crack to rim and a few short hairlines. Larger mold with one hairline, a small star-shaped spider to interior (not visible on exterior), and a minor base chip, probably in-the-firing. Smaller dish in excellent condition. Larger dish with heavy staining and some light surface wear. Cadmus rectangular dish with two short hairlines from rim, and a longer hairline from rim, which extends down side and 1 3/4" onto bottom of dish. American Pottery Co. rectangular dish with some surface wear and moderate staining. Diameter (of smaller mold) 3 3/4" ; Diameter (of smaller nappy) 8 7/8" ; L (of Cadmus dish) 10 3/8".
