Fine Large-Sized Stoneware Face Jug with Alkaline Glaze, Inscribed "B.B. CRAIG", Vale, NC, early fourth quarter 20th century, ovoid jug with flared spout, sine wave decoration to shoulder, and two ribbed strap handles, decorated with a hand-modeled and applied clay face featuring bulging eyes with eyebrows, curved ears, nose with pierced nostrils, and mouth with china teeth. Reverse incised "B.B. CRAIG" in large letters. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 20".
