Two-Gallon Stoneware Churn with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to A.E. Smith & Sons, Norwalk, CT, circa 1855, semi-ovoid churn with tooled shoulder, stepped collar, and applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed cobalt design of a tulip plant with open-centered blossom. Some exfoliation to underside. A small base chip. A 2 3/4" X-shaped line under left handle. A 2 3/4" line from rim on interior. Residue to interior.
