Rare Lot of Two: Stoneware Bodine Coffeepot and Original Broadside Advertisement, Muskingum Pottery Company, Zanesville, Ohio origin, late 19th century, cylindrical form with flared base and Albany-slip-glazed interior, fitted with its original tin spout, handle, and lid, along with a wire bail handle. This lot includes a rare small-sized broadside advertising this object. Broadside reads, "THE BODINE / Patent Fire-Clay Crucible / COFFEE POT" followed by a sales pitch for the product, and the name of the pottery, "Muskingum Pottery Company, / SOLE OWNER AND CONTROLLER, / ZANESVILLE, OHIO". Also includes a second, separate broadside for "G.M. BULL'S / Improved Fire Proof Mica / LAMP CHIMNEY". Coffeepot in excellent condition with two small, in-the-firing dents to base and a small chip to interior of rim. Pottery broadside with tears above damage to borders.
