Three Stoneware Jars, PA origin, circa 1875, all of cylindrical form, a one-gallon jar with swag motif, attributed to R.J. Grier, Chester County, PA; a one-and-a-half-gallon jar with floral motif, attributed to R.J. Grier, Chester County, PA; and a two-gallon jar with horizontal foliate decoration, attributed to Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA. One-gallon jar with two rim chips, a 2 1/4" vertical line to shoulder, and a minor fork-shaped line to underside. One-and-a-half-gallon jar with crack in underside, extending several inches up body of jar, a warped form, and a small rim chip. Remmey jar with significant restoration.
