Slip-Decorated Redware Charger, attributed to Jacob Medinger, Limerick Township, Montgomery County, PA, early 20th century, with coggled edge, the interior decorated with lines and spots of yellow-and-green-colored slip and manganese sponging. Underside with label, which reads, "This is one of 3 Medinger slipware plates. It is a museum piece. Father + I bought it from Medinger at his kiln in Knifer (Neefer), Pa.". In-the-firing losses to slip, which are glazed over. Otherwise excellent condition. An in-the-firing, glazed-over Y-shaped surface crack to interior, measuring 5 1/4".Very minor rim wear. Diameter 12 5/8".
