Fine Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Pitcher, Western PA origin, circa 1870, semi-ovoid pitcher with tall flaring collar, decorated on the front with a sweeping fuschia vine between straight and wavy cobalt stripes. Collar decorated with leafy vines on each side flanking a diamond-shaped pattern of stripes on the spout. Desirable form and decoration. Provenance: Collection of Harry Meyer, McDonald, PA. Horizontal crack at base of handle. Crazing to surface on interior, not visible on exterior. H 12".
