Rare Salt-Glazed Stoneware Pig Flask, Midwestern origin, probably Ohio, circa 1880, large-sized bottle in the form of an anatomically-correct sow with openwork legs and tail, elongated snout, large impressed eyes, and opening in rear. Albany-slip-glazed interior and appealing, accidental runs to exterior. Folky form. Provenance: A fresh-to-the-market example, consigned from Washington State. Loss to one ear and one hoof. Otherwise excellent condition. L 9 1/2".
