Very Rare Large-Sized Multi-Glazed Redware Creamer, S. Bell & Son or J. Eberly & Co., Strasburg, VA, circa 1890, ovoid pitcher pronounced foot and flared collar, decorated with splashed green and brown slip over a cream-colored, slip-coated ground. Entire surface covered in a clear lead glaze. Strong color and exceptional large size. Strasburg redware pitchers of this form are typically much smaller. Missing handle. 1 1/8" base chip and other much smaller base chips. Wear to rim and edge of spout. H 8".
