Two Pieces of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, American, second half 19th century, a half-gallon cylindrical jar with swag decoration, attributed to Henry H. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1855; paired with a cobalt-banded mug, probably New York State origin. Mug with large X-shaped hairline to front, two rim chips, and a glazed-over iron ping to handle. Jar with hairline across underside, continuing 1 1/4" up base, as well as a partially-glazed-over area of chipping to base. H (of mug) 4 1/4".
