Molded Stoneware Bottle, Stamped "PATENT / PRESSED / W. SMITH", Greenwich, NY origin, circa 1840, molded twelve-sided bottle with rounded spout and salt-glazed surface, the base impressed with the mark, "PATENT / PRESSED / W. SMITH", within a shield. An approximately 2" long oversalted area to shoulder with some associated surface exfoliation. Other small manufacturing flaws and a few minor nicsks. H 10".
